Bakery I Torstr. 111

The Bakery is a performance, installation and research project initiated by Egill Sabjörnsson in collaboration with curator Annabelle von Girsewald.

The aim of the project is to learn more about the effect of food in terms of physical, cultural and spiritual diet. Saturday September 21st we want to bring the magical courtyard on Torstrasse to life and invite Berlin artists and creative people, in the broadest sense to make "bread" together.

The bread will be made of clay, drawn on paper or whatever ideas people may come up with.

The proiect led by the artists is to be understood as a process-orientated and it is particularl important that there are no guidelines or restrictions. The final result will be presented in the spring of 2014 in the form of a café exhibition where there will be bread or cake to consume, to digest and to purchase.
